1.1.1 What is strategy?

It is a complement to science. Science, as practiced today strictly concerns itself with fact-based ideas, answering the question "what is". Science is objective in that it does not allow arbitrary preferences or beliefs to influence the answers given. Strategy concerns itself with decision-based ideas, answering the question of "what to do". Strategy is impartial in that it does not allow arbitrary preferences or beliefs to influence the decisions made.

1.1.2 What is general strategy?

It is the strategic pursuit of science. Ordinary scientists think of themselves as observers who study how the universe works. As general strategists, we assume the viewpoint that we are actors trying to achieve something. The goal we pursue is the same as that of science. It is to discover and eliminate the unknown, to reach a state where there is no more uncertainty. This goal is called NSG for Non-Specific Goal.

1.1.3 What would have to be different in order to invalidate level 1?

The unknown would have to be non-existent.
